| Seven boats "braved the elements" and drifted to the starting line for the 2009 Junior Nationals. Junior skippers are under 18 years old. Adult crews are allowed. Racing was delayed while waiting for wind to appear. The wind finally filled in from the South West at about 5 mph and held long enough for two races. Racing was close and positions changed frequently throughout the fleet. Everyone had a good time, especially some of the adult (father/grandfather) crews. Note that one crew was not able to wait for the wind due to a summer job commitment. |
