A small but determined group had a wonderful sunny sail at Corsica. The weather was much different than the previous weekend with light shifty winds, under a beautiful blue sky, with temperatures staying below 90… a very pleasant day for all. The turn out was small, mostly due to the fact that the nationals were weekend before and many needed a couple of weeks off to get ready for Fishing Bay.
At the end of the first day, Lance, with his wife Sue returning as his crew, was in first place over Roy and Carrol. On Sunday the wind Gods departed, and in very light and shifty conditions they had 2 more races. This resulted first place for Roy who was able to win with a throw-out, over Lancing in second, and Carrol in third place for the regatta. All packed up and headed home confident they would all be back together at Fishing Bay in a few short weeks. |
