The 1980 Yachting magazine One-of-a-Kind (OOAK) was held at Southern
Yacht Club in New Orleans. I represented the Windmill with Greg
Fisher's (then) wife as crew. On one windy run with the typical lake
square waves we were right in front of the YC when the boat lurched
and the whisker pole dug in a wave. Over we went to weather. But
quickly the boat was righted and we didn't lose any places. Later at
the club several people who had been watching said, "We used to have
Windmills. They were great. But if you flipped it was all over. You
righted it so quickly. Much better boat now!"
