Subject: windmill mast and boom

i hope to use it to teach my daughters how to sail, and to hopefully participate in windmill events. i have never raced before and have limited sailing experience so it would be a learning experience for all. the boat did have a wooden mast, but would be interested in the most economical replacement. I suspect the rest of the rigging would need to be replaced so that may not be an issue. I have a weel equiped woodworking shop. is it reasonable to try and build mast myself? there are no hull numbers that i have found. the sail number is 3438.

:: :: What do you plan to do with the boat? Do you want wooden or metal spars? I can probably locate a wooden spar builder and possibly a metal blank for mast and/or boom...but let me know what you would like. What is your hull number? Allen (achauvenet@gmail.com)
