Roy, thanks for your reply. The hull number is 2955. She was made in 1968 in North Carolina. The original owners's son has contacted me an offered a wooden mast and boom for the cost of shipping only. I will have to figure out what hardware is missing and replace it. I have been in touch with Ethan Bixby, and he had a fiberglass rudder and tiller for sale, but no mast or boom. I saw the Loheed site, and they do have some beautiful stuff. My desire would be for an aluminum rig for durability, as this boat will be passed down to my son. He has some major health issues which have taken priority in all spending decisions, therfore I am on a very strict budget. Free really fits in well, and Alan's offer is most generous, plus it brings the history full circle. For the record, why do you recommend against a wooden mast/boom? From a romantic standpoint, I would love to eventually have wooden components and new mahogany woodwork inside the boat. However, this boat will probably be passed down to my son, so we will slowly make these improvements together as he is able. Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing from you.
